Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

Collated (March 2020). Fragment of a likely single-columned tablet (see presently), max preserved thickness ca. 25 mm. The fact that both the colophon and the right edge are (partly) preserved suggests that this is a single-columned tablet. Script size 3-4 mm.

obv. 1: The possibility of a relation between the divine river Larša and the town Laršiliya treated in KBo 2.7 // KBo 2.13, as proposed by Forlanini (2009: 46), is very uncertain.

obv. 5, 10: For the infinitive ašnumanzi used in deontic sense see Cammarosano 2018: 154.

obv. 7: A rare case of the use of the verb ḫandāe- within the corpus of cult inventories.

obv. 8: Certainly ZÍZ, not KIN (contra Torri and Barsacchi 2018: 262)
